Friday Favorites: Beautiful Weather

Today I am linking up to show my favorites this week.

1. Swing: On Sunday Ryan put up Harper's new swing. Once it was up, she kept asking him to swing. They spent pretty much the whole day outside.  On Monday morning I put her in the swing and she looked at me strange and said, "Dada Dada Dada!" So apparently, the swing is a Daddy and Harper activity!

2. Park Date: On Monday, we met some kids from our playgroup at Phil Hardberger park. Harper spent all of her time hanging with her little friend Aiden.

3. Date night: On Monday, Ashley came over to watch Harpie so we could go out to dinner. We went to Cured at the Pearl, then headed for a drink at Blue Box. I ordered the rumming down a dream drink and honeslty it was the best drink I have ever had! After drinks, we walked over to Lick for ice cream! So yummy!

4. Miss Independent wants to do everythinnnnng herself! Well...if you keep spilling water on yourself you end up in a diaper only!

5. Park with Grandpa: Harper enjoyed showing off her park skills to Grandpa on Thursday! The weather so was so gorgeous and unseasonably warm so we have been to the park almost everyday this week.

Friday Favs!

 1. This little lady is a fan of grandma's brownies! She was clapping like crazy each time she took a bite!
 2. My birthday dinner: My girlfriends are the best! We got together on tuesday (inbetween Cort's bday and mine) at Max's Wine Dive. We drank sangria, ate appetizers, and laughed the whole time! I am so blessed to call these ladies friends! (Not pictured: Amanda..she left before we took out the camera)
 3. Birthday Baskets: Jordan (www.creativewifehappylife.blogspot.com) is seriously the best gift giver. Check out these cute basket of goodies she made!
 4. Showers: Harper is currently obsessed with me letting her take a shower! She stands under it and Whines...I've caved twice!
 5. Surprise! Chris arranged a surprise birthday dinner for Cortney on Monday! She definitely was shocked! I'm glad she felt the love from everyone!
 6. Bacon wrapped asparagus is the bomb! My friend Janie taught me how to make it. Wrap three pieces of asparagus in a slice of bacon. Sprinkle it (generously) with brown sugar and then coat it in soy sauce. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes! It is yummy!

7. This little lady loves her pony. We have it in the garage because I thought she wasn't coordinated enough yet...but she surprised me! She was able to rock back and forth all by her self.

FiVe On FrIdAy

 1. This morning we went to the Magik Theatre with our play group! I wasn't sure if Harpie could sit thru the hour show but she did great! She loved all of the singing and dancing. I'm not going to lie...I left Pinkaliciois craving a pink cupcake
 2. The other day was a beautiful sunny day. Harper and I met a friend for coffee at the Pearl so she could run around. She got out energy and we got to soak up the sun!
 3. This little lady loves her stroller and baby doll. It's so sweet to watch her nurture her baby :)

 3. Gender Reveal: We had so much fun celebrating Leigh and Andy's gender reveal! They popped a black balloon filled with PINK confetti! We are so excited to welcome another little girl!

 4. Children's museum: We had fun with Izzy, Cam, and Aunt Kat at the NB children's museum!

5. Story time: If you have a book, you are her best friend! I am so glad she loves reading!

Christmas ReCap!

The holidays have come and gone! This week we finally got back into our normal routine after a few weeks of craziness. The holidays were a blast, but I am happy that things have slowed down a bit!

Here is a quick recap on Christmas....

On Christmas Eve we had my side of the family over for a non traditional meal. We had green enchiladas, roasted potatos, salad, and mini pies! It was perfect. I was able to make the food ahead of time so I wasn't busy in the kitchen when everyone was over.  Cam and Harpie looked precious in their matching PJs!

On Christmas morning, we woke up and made breakfast and let Harper open her presents! She had a  blast playing will all of her new toys. We relaxed at home, Harper napped and then we went over to my in-laws to do gifts and dinner. Harper had a blast opening more gifts and playing with her Aunties :)

And just like that she is ONE!

Wow this past month has been eventful! Harper took her first steps shortly after she turned 11 months and ever since then she has not slowed down! We officially have a toddler! She is practically running!

Over the past month we went to the beach, swam at the pool, had play dates with friends, met Daddy for lunches, had Harper's first birthday party, had her one year old photo shoot, had friends over for dinners, and lots of outside time!

I cannot believe how quickly this year has passed. It was such a blessing to watch Harper change and grow over the past year. She is a sweet little baby and her silly personality comes out more and more each day!

Harper has really started to jabber over the past month her main words are mama, dada (which she usually screeches with excitement) , fish, duu (for duck), baba, and thiiisss. This month Harper started to point at objects and say "thiiiiss?" It is so sweet to see her explore the world and ask questions about things around her. Harper continues to love being a helper. While I am cooking dinner you will find her "rearranging" the Tupperware drawer. She also loves to "fold" laundry...which usually results in her dragging clothes around the living room.

We went to Harper's one year check up and learned she is in the top 100% for height! No wonder she is hanging out of her carseat! We defiantly have a tall girl!

One year pics taken by Aunt Ashley!

First snow cone! We were the messiest people there!

The way she looks at him melts my heart...

too much cuteness for one photo!

She is NOT a sweets gal!

Classic baby with a beer pic! Had to be an uncle who put that there...
 Surrounded by love!

 Nudest grandparents ;)

 Baby Liberty catching some rays!
 Harpie loves her cousin!

Harper,

We have had so much fun with you over the past year! You are such a sweet little girl who is always smiling. I know we are biased, but you are the worlds best baby! We have loved watching you grow and change. Each milestone has been celebrated in a big way! You bring so much joy to our family and we feel so blessed to be your parents!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
