11 Months!

I can NOT believe that Harper will be one in a month! It seems like these summer months have flown by!

Over the past month Harper has spent an evening with Daddy (while Momma got to go to Lady GaGa with the girls!). This month Ryan and I took a vacation to Cancun and Harper stayed with G-ma Wyatt. We had a great few days, but missed our baby like crazy! We came back to a happy, smiling baby! She was definitely loved and taken care of while we were away!

This month has been a busy one! We have had birthday parties, vacations, swim days, company parties, and a lot of playdates! Harper has learned how to clap (with sound!) and point! She loves to point out the window of her playroom at the dogs. She loves to blow raspberries at anyone who will giggle!  She also has mastered "mama" and has said "dada" a few times. She still tries to say Harper, but ends up sounding like "hoppa".  She loves to play peek-a-boo and to be tickled. She has taken a few steps, but is not walking yet. She is constantly standing and trying to climb up on furniture. Her crawl has gotten sooo fast. You cannot look away for a minute! Over the last month she got two top teeth, a total for 4. She still loves to eat and has put those new teeth to work! Daddy continues to make her eggs every morning for breakfast. It is a sweet time I treasure every day.

Overall, this month has been amazing. We enjoy her and her sweet personality everyday. We are looking forward to her pool themed birthday party!
Once a laundry basket...now her favorite "hiding" place.
I'm glad Harper has such a hands on auntie!

Harper's Room

Today I am linking up to show Harper's room. I started painting and decorating her room before I knew the gender of our baby. I decided to go with a neutral gray, blue, and green. My plan was to add more blue if it was a boy and more pink if it was a girl!
I purchased the changing table at a local antique shop and my friend Jordan reinvintaged it for me! She did an amazing job!
This chair was purchased in Fredricksburg. Ryan and I found it on a weekend trip up there. We had to have it!
Another piece reinvintaged by my friend!
Harper's bird mobile was handmade and purchased off etsy! She loves to stare and talk to her bird friends!

All of her bedding was handmade with love by one of my friends! What can I say? I have creative friends!

10 months!

I say this every month, time is flying! Harper turned 10 months over the weekend. She continues to be the best baby! She is all smiles and giggles! Over the past month, Harper has become an expert crawler and is standing (unassisted) for up to 30 seconds. She loves to walk with Daddy's help. We think she will take her first steps any day now. She loves to walk sideways along the couch and tables. This month she also started to wave at people. It is the sweetest thing!

Over the past month we have had lots of play dates with Lyric. Harper also got to meet her new friend/cousin Liberty. Harper is showing so much interest in other kiddos! We have spent a lot of time at the pool. She loves to crawl around in the shallow area. She loves to splash the water and chase after pool toys.  She manages to make a new friend every time we go!

Harper also got to go to the lake house for the first time! She loved it! She got so much attention and she ate it up! I was impressed that she stayed on her nap and bedtime schedule the whole time. Little baby was so exhausted that she even slept thru the 4th of July fireworks!

Nine Months?!

Time seems to be flying by these days! Just a few days ago Harper turned 9 months! She is crawling and pulling up on everything!

Over the past month, we celebrated mother's day, had play dates, gone to museums, went swimming for the first time, attended birthday parties, went to Miranda's graduation, and Harper had her first experience with a babysitter! Big month for baby!

Harper is currently loving pulling up on everything..the dishwasher, your legs, any table, bedding, etc. She has become very steady on her feet. We often catch her letting go and testing her balance. She has taken steps with assistance from a push walker. She is so proud of herself when she moves the walker! She is still loving all foods. This month we introduced chicken and it has been a hit! She also has gotten the hang of sipping water from a sippy cup! Her favorite toys are Lyric's trucks. He is so generous and is always willing to share. She loves any toy that she can push around while she is crawling.

Loves to walk with her walker

Always trying to help momma in the kitchen!
Day date with Aunt Amanda and Uncle Derek while daddy was at golf.

First day in the pool! She loves it..I imagine we will be in the water a lot this summer!

8 months!

So much has changed with Harper over the past month! She now has two teeth and is officially crawling. She gets quicker and quicker each day. When you walk out of the room she follows right behind you! Just today she started to pull up on things...the coffee table, the fire place, and a chair. It is nerve racking to watch her, but she seems pretty steady on her knees!

This month has been eventful! Between baby showers, Easter, neighborhood parties, a Fredricksburg day trip, museums, play-dates and birthday parties! Each event Harper has been a doll. She is really enjoying being around people. She is always smiling and flirting with strangers...specifically waiters. I think she likes waiters because they move so quickly...which she aspires to do!

Harper continues to love to eat solids foods. Currently she is loving watermelon, sweet potatoes, and bananas. We have started to feed her in her diaper only because she makes SUCH a mess, but she loves it!

This month was the first time Harper has ever been sick. Poor baby had such a high fever we had to call a pediatric urgent care. After a cool bath, Tylenol, and snuggles we were able to get it under control for the evening. When I took her in the next day to her pediatrician he ruled it was just an infection and we had to let it run its course. Poor thing had a fever for three days..then on the third day out popped her first tooth! The second tooth popped up shortly after.
