Friday Favorites

This week was spring break! Spring break used to be a big deal when I was teaching, but now that I am a stay at home mom it just means the parks are busier than usual this week ;) Either way, we made this week memorable!

1. We started off the week with an doctor visit for Harper's 18 month check up. We followed it up with a cookie because little lady did such a good job at the doctor! Harper is literally "off the charts" in regards to her height. Little lady is the height of an average 2 1/2 year old!

2. Tuesday afternoon was gorgeous so we spend the afternoon outside playing with the neighbors. Harper loved putting on her pretend glasses and scooting around!

3. Inflatable Wonderland: I was a bit skeptical of this place because I thought Harper was too young. She definitely proved me wrong. She loved that place! She is such a dare devil climbing to the top of the slide. She was happy to see her friends and we are excited to go back when it is not sooo busy!

4. Harper meals: Over the past two days I have tried to take pictures of Harper's meals. I love making  meals for her because she gets so excited! Plums and blueberries are her favorite this week!

5. I have been eying these shoes all week. I might have to take the plunge!

This weekend we have a fun brunch planned at Jordan's with all of the hairdolls and their kiddos! I can't wait! It is going to be such a fun afternoon. Day drinking, happy kiddos playing in the backyard, and beautiful weather are in our forecast!

18 Month update!

Last Friday Harper turned 18 months! I cannot believe how quickly time flies! People say it all the time, but I never realized it until we had Harper.

Harper is talking more and more each day. The other night Ryan and I sat down and wrote down all of the words she can say (momma, dada, ball, dog, cheese, night night, outside, yeah, uh huh, and plenty of animal sounds!) As we wrote them we realized she understands so much more than she can speak. Every night we ask her if she had a good day and she always replies,  "Uh Huh" with a sweet smile. We are so blessed.

She has continued to be a very good eater. She eats pretty much anything we make or order. She really is not picky at all...we pray this continues. She is currently loving: strawberries, avocado, humus, blueberries, apples, sweet potato fries, and cheese.

She has been very adventurous lately.  She is in constant motion... running, climbing, pushing her stroller. Three is never a dull moment!

Harper's typically sleeps 12 hours at night (7:30-7:30) and takes a 1 1/2-2 hour nap from 1-3 each day. She really loves her crib and she only gets her paci at bed time these days.

Prepare yourself for photo overload!

Chilly Friday Favs

Burrr we woke up to a cold morning! Harper and I ran a few errands and quickly came home to snuggle in our warm house! Today I am linking up to share some of our favorites over the past week...

1. Warm weather last weekend: We soaked up the warm weather last weekend and played some Frisbee golf as a family. Harper enjoys the outside time and there are plenty of puppies for her to talk to!

2. Hand Me Downs: Harper and I are both in love with her hand me down cons from Lyric. She must think they are comfortable because she keeps asking to wear them!

3. Hand holding: It is so sweet how every time Lyric sees Harper he wants to hold her hand. Seriously too cute!

4: Healthy Eating: We are so excited about our Mexico trip this summer...but that means cleaning up our diets! This was a yummy spinach, onion, and tomato stuffed mushroom. Vegetarian and delicious.

5: Speaking of Mexico...I am on the hunt for a fun swimsuit! I stumbled on this one on pinterest! It had good reviews, but I am not ready to pull the trigger yet!

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up to share some of our weekly favorites!

1. Smoothies: Not only am I fan of banana and peanut butter smoothies, but so is Harper. Notice how upset she is when I take it away from her...Mean momma!

2. Football: One of Harper's favorite activity is playing outside with Daddy. Ryan pulled out the football the other night and they had a blast.
3. Sunday Fundays: On Sunday we met up with friends for a few beers on the patio. We went to the Cove and had the best time. We all took turns chasing Harper around. There were plenty of kids and dogs around to keep her entertained

.4. Play-dates: Harper had several play-dates this week with some of her friends! We went to the park and the Mckenna Children's museum. She really loves to spend time with her friends.

5. Let's Rodeo San Antonio: Last night we kicked off Rodeo season with friends! Such a fun time!

Friday Favorites

Hallelujah! It's Friday annnnnd the weather is supposed to be nice! Double bonus! Here are a few favorites from the past week:

1. Mckenna Children's Museum: Ryan and I took Harper to the children's museum on Saturday. She had a blast...her main activity: carrying around the little baby. She kept asking Ryan to swaddle her baby- apparently Daddy does it better! My mom got us a year pass so we will be visiting here often!

2. Downy Unstopbables: I have been using these freshener beads for a few months now and I love the way they make the laundry smell! Just pop a few in with your load!

3. Holiday Manis make me happy! #littlethings

4. Stuck on you stickers: I just ordered these stickers for Harper's sippy cups and snack containers. So far I am very happy with them. They stay put even in the dishwasher!

5. Baby time: Harper enjoyed her baby time with Jackson on Monday. She had so much fun entertaining him! He thought she was pretty funny! She is very gentle and knows not to touch his face.
6. Sleep regression: What happened to my amazing napper? Over the last 5 days she only wants to be rocked or held to sleep. Luckily, I am able to soak in the snuggles. Laundry can wait right?

Hope you have an amazing weekend! We will be spending our time outside, riding bikes, and hopefully a brunch or two ;)
